Tai Kikuchi, RSPA – Director of Racquet Sports

Tai is the Director of Racquet Sports at Hollytree. With over 15 years of experience at the club, he brings energy, passion, and consistency to every lesson—working with players of all ages, from young children to seniors. Tai also manages racquet restringing services for Hollytree members. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Tai is fluent in both English and Japanese. He began playing tennis at the age of five, taught by his parents, and was already stringing racquets by the age of seven. He competed in junior tournaments throughout the U.S. and also played in a number of events in Tokyo, Japan. At 17, Tai began teaching at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels and at the Texas A&M Summer Tennis Camp in College Station. After high school, he attended Tyler Junior College, where he played competitively and completed the highly respected Tennis Tech Certification program. Tai’s deep experience, technical skill, and lasting commitment to his students make him an essential part of the Hollytree tennis community.

Beau Shupe – Assistant Racquet Sports Professional

Beau Shupe is our Assistant Racquet Sports Professional. Beau’s impressive journey in tennis began as a national-level junior, training at the prestigious Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida. He went on to play Division I tennis at both the University of Louisville and the University of North Carolina-Asheville. With over 25 years of coaching experience, Beau brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to our academy program.
